Location:

Our Coldstream coffee beans also known as Tazzmatazz Natural is a precious gem nurtured by small farmer groups belonging to the Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Society (AMCOS) in the Mbeya district of Southern Tanzania. Cultivated at elevations ranging from 1,400 to 2,000 meters above sea level, these farmers, alongside their families, meticulously handpick the ripest cherries. The cherries undergo careful sorting at the washing station, ensuring only the finest make their way to the next stage of the process.

How does it stand out:

The beans are processed naturally, where they are dried with the cherry fruit intact. This technique imparts distinct fruity and floral notes to the beans, setting the m apart from other coffee varieties. The Tazzmatazz offer a complex flavour profile characterised by vibrant fruitiness and delicate floral undertones. This combination of flavors creates a multi-dimensional and memorable coffee experience.

Preparation:

Tazzmatazz Natural beans from Tanzania can be enjoyed through various brewing methods, including espresso and filter. Both methods offer distinct advantages and can showcase different aspects of the beans’ flavor profile: 1. Espresso: When prepared as espresso, Tazzmatazz Natural beans can produce a rich and intense shot with vibrant fruitiness and floral undertones. The concentrated extraction method of espresso brewing highlights the beans’ complex flavors, resulting in a bold and flavorful espresso shot. 2. Filter: Brewing Tazzmatazz Natural beans using a filter method, such as pour-over or French press, allows for a more nuanced and delicate extraction. This method brings out the beans’ subtle flavors and floral aromas, creating a clean and refreshing cup with a smooth mouthfeel.

Roaster Notes:

Roasted at a gentler heat for a shorter period of time to bring out the natural characteristics of the beans. The flavour notes changes as the beans age, developing more nuanced characteristics. The floral notes may become subtler, while the citrus and fruity notes may mature, offering a richer, deeper profile. However, it’s essential to note that the changes in flavor over time can vary depending on how the coffee is stored and the individual preferences of the consumer. Proper storage in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture can help preserve the beans’ freshness and flavor for a more extended period.
